Integration & Innovation Networking Dinner

January 2007

The 2007 first "Integration & Innovation Networking Dinner" was held at PolyU Four Sesa Restaurant on Jan 8 with nearly 60 executives and professionals participated. 

Reception stated at 6:30 pm, members, guests and representatives from friendly associations arrived the venue, including Dr. Samson Tam -Vice-Chairman of HKPC/Honorary Advisor of MEIIA, Ir Dr. WC Keung - President of HKCCMA/Honoray Advisor of MEIIA, Dr. Peter Lau - Vice President of HKMDTA/Member of MEIIA, Mr. Raymond Lee - Vice President of HKEPMSA, Prof. Xiande Zhao - Professor of The Chinese University of Hong Kong/Director of Centre of Supply Chain Management/Li & Fung Institue of Supply Chain Management, and also Mr. Charles Mok - Ex-officio Member of HKITF/Director of Computancy Limited, the special guest speaker of the dinner.

The venue was crowd of stars, guests and members took this opportunity to mingle and chitchat together, the atmosphere was warm and cheerful.  

The dinner started at 7:45 pm, the MC - Mr. Vincent Lau firstly introduced those VIP guests and representatives of friendly associations. Mr. Benny Lam - Chairman of MEIIA delivered a welcome remarks and presented souvenir to the Secial Guest Speaker - Mr. Charles Mok.

After enjoyment of few foods, Charles gave a lecture of speech with topic   “ An Industry View on Digital 21: Opportunities and Challenges for ICT Sector in 2007” , his excellent presentation and answered on questions at Q & A session, gave audience a deep understanding on Digital 21 strategy, vison for Hong Kong's ICT future, issues and opportunates. 

Subsequently, the MC invited all representatives of friendly associations introducing their associations. Mr. Stephen Pong - Executive Director of MEIIA reported MEIIA affairs and upcoming events, and invited Prof. Xiande Zhao introducing a public seminar"High Performance Manufacturing & Supply Chain Excellence"which will be held at PolyU on Jan 26.

During the dinner, all participants enjoyed the networking, drank a toast to the new year. The last progamme was lucky draw officiated by Dr. James Fok - Executive Director of Group Sense (International) Ltd./ the newly appointed Executive Member of MEIIA, the lucky man received a bottle of wine from Ms. Sharon Wong - representative of wine sponsor .

The dinner was successfully ended by 10:30 pm, all participants enjoyed a pleasant and valuable evening.
