Networking Dinner

MEIIA executive committee - Mr. Vincent Lau (COO of Abas Business Solutions (PRC) Limited) is the  MC of the networking dinner. The dinner started at about 8 p.m and he invited the chairman of MEIIA - Mr. Benny Lam to deliver a welcome remarks. Benny also introduce the objectives of MEIIA and enterprises integration and innovation (EII).

Vincent introduced the rundown and topic of the dinner - "digital competitiveness" and two speeches with topics. Then Benny presented souvenir to two guest speakers.


 
 
 

Participants drank a toast and had some sharing.

 
 
 
 

During the dinner, two excellent talks were presented:

(一) 透過數碼貿易運輸網絡(DTTN) 提升效率及成本效益

Speaker:周佩珊小姐 Ms. Terry Chow - Manager of DTTN Limited

Ms Chow presented that DTTN Limited is an infrastructure which HKSAR support and invest in. It is neutrally open to facilitates the information flow of supply chain for all organizations and its trading partners. To be "the digital express link to business partners worldwide", DTTN is an e - platform on which the users can have digital connection with other trading, logistic and financial partners by low cost. The main users of DTTN include buyers/ importers, sellers/ exporters, freight forwarders, carriers, terminals, government and its agencies, financials institutions, insurance companies and inspection agencies.


 
 

(二 ) 新一代互聯網 Web 2.0對於商界的 「危」與 「機

Speaker:李志雄先生 Mr. Edmund Lee -CEO of Well Synergy Limited

Mr. Lee presented that from 2004, the concept of "Web 2.0" has gradually developed on the internet. Internet is becoming a platform for personal knowledge and opinions sharing from a platform only for releasing the information of enterprises.In 2006, over internet users left their comments on the blogs, discussion forums and newsgroups every day. Until now, a new influential media - user generated media, interact with the traditional media including newspaper, magazine and electronic media. Mr. Lee also introduced the latest internet marketing application solutions provided by his company. It may manage the opportunities and threats brought by "web 2.0".

All were interested in these two talks and asked a lot of questions. The dinner was full of cheerfulness.
