Cross Company Re-engineering for Supply Chain
Collaboration of Polo, Luen Thai, & Ruentex
| Speaker:
Dr. John Romagna, Senior Vice President, Luen Thai
Group |
|
Abstract -
Integration is a process by which parts of a whole become
less part and more whole. Supply chain integration is a process in
which the companies which are trading partners in a “supply chain”
collaboratively reengineer across themselves by changing who does
what, how, when, and where - such that the whole raw
materials-to-finished goods-to-customer process is faster, cheaper
and better.
This talk will briefly
summarizes such an effort in cross company reengineering to achieve
“supply chain integration”, among Polo Ralph Lauren, one of the
world’s most successful brands, Luen Thai, on of the world’s
largest garment manufacturer’s, and Ruentex,
on the world’s most sophisticated woven fabric
suppliers. Enabling conditions, process, and outcomes/status are
discussed. | 17:20
